Education Packages – For Schools and Private Groups

Family education, and providing quality educational resources based on the Dept. of Education guidelines and curriculum, are among our top priorities at Cruachan Aí Heritage Centre.

Educational activities for kids feature strongly on our annual agenda of community events, and we provide great value packages for school tours at both primary and secondary level, as well as educational tours for adult special interest groups.  Free extras include worksheets for kids, and recommendations for classroom activities you can bring back to school.

Why Bring Your Students to Cruachan Aí Heritage Centre?

The Rathcroghan Complex has just been nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Status, along with Tara, as one of the Celtic Royal Sites of Ireland.  With such a fantastic resource on your doorstep, why not bring your students to Cruachan Aí Heritage Centre, in Tulsk?  We can enable your students to experience vital curricular elements such as:

  • Our roots in pre-Christian/early Christian Ireland, from Queen Maedbh and the Cattle Raid of Cooley onwards, with the support of 15 yrs ongoing Rathcroghan research from NUIG.
  • Study of Medieval society around the O’Conor Kingship of Tulsk.
  • Early Modern Irish History, with the support of the Discovery Programme 5 yr research – Medieval Rural Settlement Project.
